Liquid laundry detergent

Supplies:

  • 1 gallon glass ball jar
  • 5 gallon bucket for mixing

Ingredients:  

  • 4 C hot tap water
  • 1 Fels-Naptha castile soap bar
  • 1 C Arm& Hammer super washing soda
  • 1/2 C Borax
  • 1 C oxi clean (optional)

Instructions:  

Grate soap and add to saucepan with water and stir until dissolved. Fill 5 G bucket 1/2 full with hot water. Add ingredients and stir until dissolved.  Let sit over night.  In laundry soap dispenser add half mixture and half water. SAFE FOR HE MACHINES

Uses:

Add 10-12 drops oil to each 2 gallons.  Recipe makes 10 gallons.

  • For greater whitening power, increase Oxy Clean or baking soda.
  • For fresh scent choose: Wintergreen +/- Lemon
  • For Soothing scent Choose: Cedarwood & Lavender
  • Add to machine and run for detergent to mix then add laundry.
