Get your reset button here!

Free Article, spa-free

Anyone else need to hit the reset button on the regular?

If you ever feel like you are about to pop, can’t keep up, spinning out of control, or snapping at those you love than this post is for you.

Having a reset button truly changes the outcome of the day, which can change everything. Incorporating a reset button into your daily routine changes our response, those receiving our response, and the outcome. Over time this little reset button can lead to better relationships, increased productivity, and increased joy and abundance. #compoundeffect Small daily decisions lead to dramatic impacts over time.

Let’s get started.

My favorite reset button is 4x4x4 breathing. I can pause to breathe anywhere, at any time. Have you ever noticed when you get nervous that you hold your breath or breathe more shallow?

When you take a moment to breathe deeply the opposite happens. Everything opens up! Your blood flows better, your focus improves, you feel calmer, and you may even hear and see more clearly!

4x4x4 breathing has been shown to reduce cortisol levels (stress response), improve oxygen delivery, slow heart rate, reduce blood pressure, and allow muscle relaxation. Studies even demonstrate reduction of withdrawal symptoms for smoking cessation.

Many essential oils can enhance the results of breathing. I choose these for their high frequency, abilities to relax the body, and support the endocrine system.

I find these oils provide the greatest grounding, focus, and relief:

  • Frankincense
  • Stress Away
  • White Angelica
  • Valor
  • Spearmint
  • Idaho Blue Spruce

Let’s get to it!

Place drop of preferred oil in hands and cup over nose:

  • Breathe in through nose 4 seconds
  • Hold breath 4 seconds
  • Breathe out through mouth 4 seconds
  • Repeat 4 times

Did you feel it? If not repeat. Something truly magical happens!
